| LONGVIEW - Prevailing bad weather today caused indefinite postponement of the Longview Loboes-Jefferson Bulldog football game, scheduled at the new athletic field this afternoon.
This cancellation of the tilt was the second to be postponed in East Texas on account of the snow. The scheduled night contest between the College of Marshall and Texarkana Junior College at Texarkana was also called off. Coach C.N. Wilkinson stated he did not believe the two elevens would meet this season as all district games are schedule to be completed by Thanksgiving, and if there is any conflict the tilt must be played off by December 2nd. Coach Wilkinson also is not willing to take a chance on the Lobos playing any day next week, as the team meets Gilmer, in Gilmer, Thanksgiving day in the most important conflict of the season. Longview is in perfect condition for the fray. |
