TYLER - The Longview Loboes were unable to stop the backs of the Tyler High School as they plowed through the line for victory over the Lions Friday, October 1, at the East Texas Fair at Tyler. The Lobos led the first half by a score of 12 to 7, but were overcome in the third quarter.
The Loboes started the old fight at the first of the game which netted them two touchdowns. Tyler was held scoreless during the quarter.
Tyler started the second quarter by making a touchdown and kicking goal which gave them 7 points. A number of punts were exchanged and the half ended.
Then came the big end for Tyler in the third quarter, when they made three touchdowns and the Loboes were unable to score.
In the fourth quarter the Loboes led a passing attack upon Tyler and marched up the field of a third touchdown and then kicked goal. Tyler then kicked tot eh Loboes, who returned the ball to their opponents twenty-yard line and the game ended.
