LONGVIEW HI DEFEATS TROUP
LONGVIEW - The Longview High School football team, playing for the first time under the name Loboes, and wearing a new color jersey, a solid orange, defeated the Troup High School Eleven at Fair Park by the large score of 53 to 0.

After the first few minutes of play, the outcome of the game was never in any doubt.

The whole Longview line played a great game, Troup being unable to gain at all inside Longview's tackles. McCreary was almost unstoppable, hitting the line at will for large gains and playing a wonderful game on defense.

McHaney, last year's captain and tackle, switched to center this year and played a brilliant game on defense, making tackle after tackle, and stopping the play behind the line time after time.

White, midget halfback, played a good game, carrying the ball back for forty yards twice on punts.

Bembert got away once for a forty-five yard run around left end. Merodith, playing his first game at quarterback, displayed fair judgement at times and shows promise of become a good quarterback.
