FOURTH QUARTER SCORE BREAKS TIE IN LOBO WIN
LONGVIEW - Longview's Lobos, 14-7 winners over Woodrow Wilson of Dallas in a non-district game here Friday night, will be idle until Nov. 11 when they will meet Tyler's Lions in the latter's home field in a conference game.

The Lions are having only a so-so season, their worst in several years.

It was a real ball game here Friday night, a score in the last quarter finally breaking a 7-7 tie in the locals favor.

Longview scored first. A 23 yard pass from J.T. Jeffress to Robert Crowley advanced the ball to the Wildcat 13 after Milton Pearson had covered a Dallas fumble on the 40. Then Crowley wen 11 yards for a first down on the two and in three rise Johnny Dunaway went over. Forrest Grigg converted.

Bouncing right back, the Wildcats counted a moment later when Phil Thomas looped a pass into the end zone that Charley Moore gathered. Ken Quesenberry's conversion tied the count.

The final score came in the fourth when Jeffress took a lateral from Dunaway and ran six yards to score. Dunaway's 22 yard run off right tackle was the big noise in the drive.

Forrest Grigg's unerring toe, successful in most of his tries this year, added both the points.
