LITTLE TROUBLE IN 42-7 WIN OVER ATHENS
LONGVIEW - Longview's Lobos, winners over Athens by a 42-7 score in their first conference game Friday night, will meet Texarkana's Tigers in another "for keeps" tilt here this Friday starting at 8 p.m.

The Wolves had little trouble trimming the Hornets, scoring almost as they pleased and holding the red clad scrappers pretty well in check.

A pass, Dunaway to Crowley, scored the first touchdown in the first few minutes of play and Jeffress passed to Crowley for the second score. Crowley's magnificent one-handed catch not he second pass and his long sprint to the double line was one of the slickest offensive exhibitions seen here this year.

Dunaway counted the third touchdown on a 48 yard off tackle jag on the first play of these second period and the Wolves added a safety moments later.

The Hornets scored then on a pass, Browning to Scott, after a Lobo fumble had been covered on the Longview 30.

Crowley took the second half kickoff and returned it for a touchdown, running 78 yards to tally. Jeffress passed to Hughes in the end zone for the next one.

The longest run of the night, resulted in the last Lobo score. Athens had driven deep into Lobo territory on their longest offensive sweep of the night when Jeffress intercepted an aerial from Browning on the Lobo 5 and little Jeffress followed some good blocking to the 50 and then struck out on his own for the rest of his 95-yard jaunt.
