LOBOS SHUT DOWN HIGHLAND PARK
LONGVIEW - Turning on the heat in the last period, the Longview Lobos pushed over a touchdown to defeat the Highland Park Scotties of Dallas here Friday night, 6 to 0.

Three times the Shotwell crew fought its way to within a few yards of the goal line, only to be thrown back by Redman Hume's charges.

Lacking only one inch of getting across late in the fourth, the Pack was forced to surrender the ball.

The Scotties would commit a penalty on the next play moving the pigskin back a half inch.

Then Bunkie Waters, the Highland flash, booted 30 yards. Captain Edgar Worsham of the Lobos flipped a pass to Billy Richardson that netted 14 yards. He shot another to Bivins for eight, Sapp and Cantrelly picked up 12 yards on reverse spinners and a few second later Sapp scampered to pay dirt.

It was a tug of war in the first half, with the visitors having the edge. Waters, Hemster, Earnest, and Wolfe offered plenty of trouble. The Lobos managed to garner only two first downs in the first half, while Highland Park was accumulating four.

The Shotwellmen got 158 of their total 179 yards from scrimmage in the last period, in addition-to 41 in the air. The Scotties netted only 42 yards from scrimmage, but pulled 112 out of the ozone.

The Lobos had a total of seven fumbles, six of which were recovered by the Scotties. Waters alone retrieved four.
