LONGVIEW HIGH DEFEATS EAGLES BY 31-6 COUNT
LONGVIEW - Combining a swift running attack with an aerial barrage, the Longview Lobos crushed the Riverside Eagles of Forth Worth here Friday night, 31 to 6, before a crowd of 4,000 fans.

So well did the Longview line hold that the visitors were able to make only three first downs, while Coach Pete Shotwell's charges were rolling up fifteen. The visitors completed only five passes, three of which came in rapid succession in the closing minutes.

Paced by captain Edgar Worsham, who threaded the needle eleven times out of sixteen attempts, the Lobos demonstrated their prowess in the air as well as on the front line.

The Pack scored in the first quarter with a line-crushing drive by Charles Sapp. The visitors knotted the count in the second period when Hollis went over after Erwin had galloped seventy-three yards with Johnson's pass.

Wilkinson crossed the goal in the third, and a few minutes later Sapp intercepted Johnson's aerial and loped thirty-three yards for another marker.

Worsham's pass to Contrell netted another in the fourth and Wilkinson skipped through for No. 5. Grupell kicked goal.

Worsham, Jones, Contrell, Wilkinson, Sapp and McKnight stood out for the Lobos. Johnson, Farrell, Magers and Hollis for the Eagles.
