DALLAS - No Longview team had reached the second round of the Texas High School playoffs prior to 1937. Pete Shotwell's 1937 Longview Lobos would change all of that. 13-0 Longview headed to the Cotton Bowl to take on the Wichita Falls Coyotes, and found themselves trailing 12-0 after the first quarter. Dick Miller would change all of that as the fourth quarter began, as he led the Lobos to a 19-12 victory.
