LONGVIEW - Longview's Loboes soared higher in the high school firmament Friday night by smacking down Forest Avenue High of Dallas, 34 to 13. It was their sixth win of the season, and the victory was marred only by the fact that the Dallasites were the first team to cross the Lobo goal line this year.
A blocked kick led to a Longview touchdown in the first five minutes of play. Uncorking a series of passes for thirty-seven yards, the invaders scored in the second quarter. Another marker came on a sweeping end run by Goss. The Loboes came back strong in the second half, to chalk up two touchdowns in each of the two quarters.
Longview was held to one first down in the first quarter, none in the second, but made four in the third and one in the fourth. The visitors made one in the first, three each in the second and third, and two in the final.
Captain Jack Skipper was the outstanding star for the Loboes.
