"That was a Rea critical play. It they hadn't scored on that play it would have been 7-3 at the half. Instead it was 14-3, and they had the momentum going in. It didn't break out backs. We came back a lot this season, and we kept saying remember John Tyler and remember Lufkin and all those hard games. We put our faith in God, but we fell short. They (Katy) just played a great game."
"I expected them to play smash mouth football, but they executed their offensive game plan good. They came out and took a whole bunch of time off the clock, and it just took us out of our game."

"They pounded on us early, but we were used to that. We just weren't able to overcome the big letdown after the pass. We got down, and it dragged on into the fourth quarter. I thought we had put it behind us at the half. I still thought we had a chance, but we didn't get it done."
