LONGVIEW - The Texarkana Tigers made a quartet out of first place in the District 8-AAAA football race here Friday night, shutting out the Longview Lobos, 13-0.
The visiting Tigers shoved across two second-quarter scores to gain their victory.
Quarterback Johnny Tune plunged three yards for the first Tiger touchdown and Rusty Arnold kicked the point after.
Then Tune passed six yards to halfback Don Hackleman for the second six pointer, and this time the kick field.
Tune, Arnold and halfback James Thomas led the Tiger attack while Longview's leading round gainer was Harold Bridges.
